We envision an India where every developer, hotelier, hospital administrator, and factory owner installs a sewage treatment plant not because regulations demand it — but because environmental stewardship is part of how they build.
The Beginning
Two students. One demo plant. A company that changed India's water story.
BITS Pilani had a sewage problem no one had solved.
Akshat Tyagi and Raghavendra Suryavanshi were second-year postgraduate students at BITS Pilani when they cracked the sewage treatment challenge their own institute had struggled with. What began as an academic exercise became a proof of concept — and then a conviction.
They turned down corporate jobs and built a demo plant.
With entrepreneurial fire and their own savings, they said no to comfortable job offers. Their first move: a 10,000-litre-per-day demo sewage treatment plant. The demo won clients. In three years, SUSBIO was serving Indian Railways, luxury hotels, hospitals, institutions, apartments, townships, and schools.

SUSBIO established its head office at Zuarinagar, Goa and manufacturing at Vasuli MIDC, Chakan, Pune — a factory-first model that ensures every ECOTREAT unit is pre-tested before dispatch. The Mumbai branch office followed.
