A buffer chamber with 4 hr HRT evens out the morning and evening peaks.

Hydrolysis and acidogenesis break down the heavy organic load first.

MBBR aeration
K1/K3 media carriers with 600+ m²/m³ surface area do the fine polishing.

01What size STP does a resort need?

02How much does a packaged STP cost for a resort in India?
Indicative SUSBIO ECOTREAT prices run from ₹9 L for 10 KLD to ₹32 L for 75 KLD (May 2026), including design, manufacture, installation and commissioning. Transport and civil works are extra, and the final price depends on your configuration.
03Why choose a packaged STP over a civil STP for a resort?
A packaged plant is factory-built and pre-tested, so it installs in 3–5 days instead of weeks of civil work. Compared with a civil RCC STP, ECOTREAT needs 40% less footprint and 70% less electricity, and runs without a permanent on-site operator.

Yes. ECOTREAT is set into a PCC pit and can be installed underground or aboveground. Its footprint is 40% smaller than a civil RCC STP, so land stays free for other uses.
05Will an STP smell or make noise near a resort?

06How long does it take to install a packaged STP at a resort?
Installation takes 3–5 days on site once the civil pad is ready. From purchase order to commissioning, plan for under 4 weeks.
Approvals and water reuse
07What discharge standards must a resort STP meet in India?
CPCB norms under NGT 2019 set limits of BOD below 10 mg/L, COD below 50, TSS below 10, total nitrogen below 10, total phosphorus below 1 and faecal coliform below 100 MPN/100 mL. ECOTREAT’s typical outlet sits within every one of these limits.
08Does a resort need pollution control board approval for its STP?
A resort generally needs Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) from the state pollution control board. Requirements vary by state and property size. SUSBIO’s consultancy team supports both applications.
09Can treated STP water be reused at a resort?
Yes. Treated water suits landscaping, pool top-up, toilet flushing, laundry pre-rinse, cooling-tower make-up. Reuse also counts toward LEED and EDGE certification.
Operation and service
10Does a resort STP need a full-time operator?
No. ECOTREAT needs no permanent on-site operator. It is IoT and SCADA-ready, so performance can be monitored remotely.
11What warranty and service come with a SUSBIO ECOTREAT STP?
A 10-year module warranty and lifetime service from SUSBIO. The FRP vessel is designed for a 50-year life.
