- Stage 1 — Oil & Grease Separation: Raw sewage enters. A pre-treatment chamber separates floating fats, oils, and grease before they can clog downstream components.
- Stage 2 — Primary Sedimentation: Heavy solids settle to the base. This reduces the load on biological stages and captures coarse suspended matter.
- Stage 3 — Anaerobic Contact (No Electricity): Bacteria in a low-oxygen environment break down the bulk of the organic load. This stage does the heavy lifting without consuming power.
